My newest dimensional painting is made with Liquitex acrylics on wood panel with wood frame, foamboard building, handmade paper shingles and clay chimney and door handle. The painting is called Home in the Woods or Tree House.

Houscapes

My main gig: “Houscapes” portraits of homes and landmark buildings in my signature colours and style. This is Malcom Leo’s home and is obviously in the Hollywood Hill’s. It is one of the those beautiful old spanish style homes I am so fond of. Now I am working on a houscape for Leslie Morris in Sherman Oaks. They are very detailed and take a lot of time and attention but for people that really love their homes valgal is their girl

He has produced documentaries of many great bands and artists. You might have seen some of them like: This is Elvis, The Beach Boys~an American Band or Rolling Stone~20 Years of Rock n Roll. So many I could not list them all. This is a portrait of his home and what I paint most every day “Houscapes”, capturing a slice of someones life.

Here is the finished Fred Segal Fun Style Candy Box. It was a lot of work but I am pleased with the outcome. You can put candy or other fun things inside and it makes a cute gift cuter.

Great old-school kids’ album… nice arrangements, ear-catching melodies. “Home” could be a song Paul Simon forgot to record! And check out the Sublime/Sugar Ray-like “Favorite Son (Every Day)” … oughta be on a kids’ show or movie soundtrack.

Tobocman’s a southern California musician, and “Home” reminds me of nothing so much as the wistful songs on the soundtracks from another southern California musician, Randy Newman. The illustrations of Valerie Walsh make an excellent match. It’s a great little video.

Winter in a Small Town

This is a new illustration I made for my Scribble Guild Group. The wonderful artist Andi Butler picked the colour scheme that we used and we decided on a winter theme. We are producing some postcards to send to clients, patrons and friends and we each will have a 5.5 x 1.7 inch space on the card. The other artists include: the afore mentioned Andi Butler, Kathy Weller, David Sones and Jake Souva. Happy small town winter!
